Color journals are important to me. As my photography professor put it, “No one buys green bread” meaning that in the visual world consumers will make an automatic connect with mold if they see green on the packaging of their Wonder bread.
In my oversized sketch book I keep note of colors that entice and disgust me.
Recently, I had to make a decision. What color did I want my website to be?
What mood did I want to set?
Because I make a habit of this practice, I turned to my color journal and created some digital color palettes via Photoshop to send to my computer programmer. I found the process to be valuable.
